  1. Joyous Michaelmas! I know there are asters in the borders, I hope some aster amellus, the purple Michaelmas Daisy. On this Feast Day of Archangel Michael, protector against evil, so too blooms the Michaelmas Daisy protecting us against the dark and gloom of oncoming winter.
